We would shortlist the A1 mini for small PLA/PETG projects that fit comfortably within its build area, the A1 when larger one-piece parts are a real requirement, and the Ender-3 V3 SE when its complete purchase cost is meaningfully lower. None wins here on untested speed or reliability.
Critical review
The V3 SE is worth considering when its 220 × 220 × 250 mm envelope fits your work and its complete cost undercuts the alternatives by a useful amount. We would skip it if the plan requires an immediate pile of upgrades, or if your choice depends on reliability claims we have not tested.
Head-to-head comparison
We would not pay for an enclosure just to print small PLA parts. Consider an enclosed machine when your documented material workflow needs chamber conditions an open machine cannot provide, or when physical separation is a real requirement. Check the exact model and material guidance; an enclosure is not proof of ventilation or safe emissions.
